I Need Your Feedback
I had a suggestion from a new subscriber who got her first weekly headlines and was a little overwhelmed.
I really can’t blame her. All the activity that can take place in a week on this site can be a lot.
Now I’m subscribed to a number of lists that send me daily emails with links from their blogs. I personally love it. I may be subscribed to them in my RSS reader, but I how often do I get to the RSS reader? Honestly, if I went to mine today, there would be 10,000+ posts to catch up on…which is one of the reasons I don’t go there often.
Anyway, I’d love get your feedback and I’d thank you for taking this poll and leaving your comments. Whatever I decide, everyone who stays subscribed will also get the weekly newsletter with Bonus Tools I’m producing.

Hi, Rev Trev! Haven’t been by in a while. I wanted to provide you with an alternative pov on the RSS/direct mail question.
I have 200+ RSS feeds pointed at my little GooG presence, and I seldom if ever try to read them all. What I do is use the collective as a resource of subject matter I want to refer to.
When I have time, which is about once a week, I open the RSS reader and browse categories I’ve set up for some criteria (unusually high numbers for instance) and see what’s up. And when I need to bone up on a subject, I’ll zip in and brute search the lot.
Mostly though the RSS parade goes on without me with one or two exceptions: One titled “GooD!” contains positive groups like revtrev, EFF.org, and the Forward Progress Initiative; another titled “Music” which is kinda self-explanatory.
I’ve found that e-mails from special source-interests distract me more than help… so I try to avoid them when possible. Not complaining, just offering a view from the other side!
Peace.

John, I agree RSS is a much better technology.
In the group of people I’m around I’d have to say I’m more “pro-new tech” than almost all (but one) of my friends and I use RSS readers – but not regularly enough.
I’m convinced over time RSS will almost replace email. What Google is doing with Wave seems set to combine them into oblivion. But for now, the vast majority of my readers are from email.
No Worries – I’ll support both. Found a way this week to include gifts to RSS subscribers no one else gets. May be able to do that soon.
