He Rejoices Over You
Monday May 9, 2005
I heard a knock on the door and it woke me up a little after 6:00. It wasn’t loud enough to make me think I needed to get up and check it. I rolled over expecting to sleep for another hour or so. Then I heard his voice.“I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice, opens the door and lets me in I will eat with him and he with me.”
It was time to meet the Maker.
This is what I wrote in my journal the morning I had a supernatural experience with God. He showed me a vision that I don’t have space to recreate here, but which I included in a chapter in the novel ‘Soul Seers – Shadows’.
Suffice it say, the vision allowed what I knew as an idea in my head and a sentiment in my heart, to have its implications worked into every area of my life. I have known God’s power. I most definitely have experienced his grace. But laying everything on the altar – our family, our friends, our finances, our future, allowed me for the first time in my life, to experience God’s pleasure.
That’s what the vision of the dance was all about. I never want to loose the sense of his pleasure.
Since then, I have needed God’s grace. I haven’t always done what I know I should do. I do not have it all together or claim perfection.
But when I change my mind and my ways, the sense of God’s pleasure with me is quick to return.
God is not angry with you. He is for you. He wants to see you win.
He’s on your side, so who can be against you?
The question for us remains: Are you with him?
