Experience the Life of An Overcomer
If you’re caught in habitual sin you’re either living under the law or oppressed by demons.
If you’re living under the law, stop it. Why have you tried to complete in the flesh what was started by the Spirit?
If it’s demons oppressing you – stand up to them. Don’t be afraid of them and don’t ignore them. You have authority over them. Live out of your identity.
John tells us:
Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God. So now we can tell who are children of God and who are children of the devil. Anyone who does not live righteously and does not love other believers does not belong to God. ?1 John 3:9-10 (New Living Translation)
Take that as a promise of victory because of confidence in who you are, not as condemnation because you’ve yet to experience life as an overcomer.
Because you are born of God you cannot make a practice of sinning. Because you are a child of God you can’t keep on sinning. Because you belong to God you will live righteously and love other believers.
You have been bought with a price, you belong to God. You are loved and accepted by Him. You are secure in Him. Now live up to what you’ve already attained. Experience life as an overcomer.
